It’s Time for Some Spring Cleaning!

It’s time for some Spring cleaning! The latest Really Truly Fit Podcast is out and we have Jim and Jess sharing with you their favorite tips and methods for feeling your best and sticking to it this Spring season.

PREP YOUR MIND.

Before you get into the physical planning and prepping, the first thing you should do is get your mind right. Your mind is a powerful tool so it’d important that you get mentally prepared for the days/ weeks/ life to come. Define your goals. What is it that you are trying to accomplish? Get specific. The more specific your goals are, the easier they will be to stay focused and keep your mind on track.

PREP YOUR FRIDGE & PANTRY.

Take 2 hours out of your day to prepare easy to grab snacks and meals for the week ahead. It may seem like a burden at first, but it is SO. WORTH. IT. Prep everything. Write out the menu for the week. Clean and cut up your produce. I like to cut up every single fruit and vegetable I bought ahead of time so it’s one less thing I need to worry about during the busy work week. I even go as far as cleaning the grapes, taking them off the vines and placing 15-20 in little baggies so they are easy to grab and go. And if all else fails, have some easy-to-grab healthy snacks like 100 calorie Skinny Pop popcorn bags, individual almond packs, rice cakes, and other snack items that you can grab and run out the door.

PREP YOUR WORKOUTS.

Take an inventory of your clothing and equipment. Do you need new shoes or shorts? (you always need new shoes if you ask me!) Go ahead and set them out – ready for your next work out. If you use any electronics for your workouts, are they fully charged? Fill up your water bottle and place it in the fridge. Schedule your workouts in your calendar like you would any other appointment. Health is your first wealth, so plan like it is!

Happy Spring Cleaning!
