For the last several years, I found myself gaining 1-2 pounds from eating almost anything I wanted. Meanwhile, with heart disease running in my family, my cholesterol numbers were bad and getting worse.
After my doctor, wife, and a close friend all commented to me that I had been “putting on a few pounds,” I knew I needed to do something. I went to the Jim White Fitness website and saw stories of others’ transformations. I signed up for workouts, nutrition counseling and education sessions with the JWFNS team.
Four months later, the results have been fantastic! I have lost about 10% of my body weight and lost 3-4 inches off my waist. My cholesterol numbers have noticeably improved and my overall fitness is at least where it was when I graduated from college, if not the best it has ever been.
I’ve been surprised at how much I enjoy eating healthier, losing weight, and meeting my fitness goals. I’ve surpassed all of my goals and with help from the JWNFS staff, I’m setting new ones and look forward to achieving them, knowing I’ve come so far already!
