Greek Yogurt | A Vehicle for Health

I have partnered with Dannon Oikos to help promote the One Yogurt Every Day Campaign. I have been compensated for my time commitment. However, my opinions are entirely my own and I have not been paid to publish positive comments.

Yogurt is a staple in our household. It is protein packed and a good source of certain vitamins and minerals.  It’s great with breakfast, as a snack, or for dessert.  Krista and I personally love just regular ‘ol plain or vanilla Greek yogurt because of the natural taste and the fact that it doesn’t have added sugar. While it is creamy and delicious, sometimes eating it plain can get a little boring at times.  To spruce things up I like to add healthy toppings in my plain yogurt to make it a full and nutritious snack or meal. By choosing your own toppings, you can add whatever you’re feeling that day while still being in control of what you’re putting in! Check out some simple topping combinations that will give you an extra boost of nutrition and make sure you never get bored with your yogurt again!

GingerBerryBoost

Oikos Plain Greek Nonfat Yogurt,  + ¼ Cup Crushed Blackberries + 1 Tbsp. Crystallized Ginger

This flavorful combination is sure to add excitement to your day!

CacaoCherry

Oikos Plain Greek Nonfat Yogurt, + ¼ Cup cherries + 1 Tbsp. cacao nibs + 1 Tbsp. crushed almonds

The cherries and cacao nibs provide a good source of antioxidants, while the almonds contain healthy fats.

LetsGetFiggyWithIt

Oikos Plain Greek Nonfat Yogurt,  + ¼ cup Chopped Figs + 1 Tsp. Olive oil + 1 Tsp. Honey + Flaky Sea salt

An extra shot of added fiber and healthy fats combined with the high quality protein found in yogurt can help you feel full. Honey has been shown …just make sure to not go overboard with it!

OrangeChocolateDream

Oikos  Vanilla Greek Nonfat Yogurt,+ ¼ cup diced orange + 1 Tbsp. Dark Chocolate + 1 Tbsp. Pistachios

High in vitamin C, antioxidants, and a boost of protein, this combo is one to curve that sweet tooth  with nutrition you can feel good about!

StrawberryBalsamic

Oikos Vanilla Greek Nonfat Yogurt, + ¼ cup strawberries + 1 Tbsp. Balsamic (Drizzled)

This sweet and savory dish is loaded with antioxidants and is one of my personal favorites!
